From the porch you can hear the roar of the Mesnaelva river, and you can see both Mjøsa, Ullvarefabrikken and the southern part of the city. A five-minute walk along a pleasant hiking trail leads to the main street in Lillehammer, the same to the station. Sjusjøen is 20 minutes by car. Til tross for rolige omgivelser er stedet ikke langt fra Lillehammer sentrum, 10 minuter til fots, med sykkel går det mye fortere. Til matbutikken to minutter. Buss stopper rett utenfor huset, p-plass med lademulighet. Stor innsjø.
